Sparring is an integral part of Tae Kwon Do training and is recognized as a sport of strategy and self-control, not fighting. At Master Cha’s Summit Martial Arts, we follow the World Taekwondo Federation guidelines for sparring, ensuring a structured and safe environment for all participants.
Key Aspects of the Sparring Program:
Technique Application: Sparring offers students the opportunity to apply the techniques learned in regular classes in a real-world setting, enhancing accuracy and efficiency.
Reflex Development: Through various attack and defense scenarios, students improve their reflexes and reaction time.
Strategic Thinking: Sparring helps students analyze opponents' movements and devise effective strategies, contributing to their overall growth as martial artists.
Physical Conditioning: Regular participation in sparring builds strength and endurance, improving overall fitness.
Safe Environment: Safety is our priority. Students wear protective gear, and strikes are limited to designated areas to prevent injuries.
Students are eligible to join the sparring class once they achieve a green belt. Sparring classes are separate from the regular curriculum and do not count toward the weekly membership classes. While sparring techniques are introduced in regular classes, sparring sessions focus on the practical application of these skills.
Program Fee: A one-time tuition fee, including a standard equipment package, is $500 per student.
All students will eventually be required to participate in the sparring class program as part of their overall Tae Kwon Do training..
